Serrano Honey Vinaigrette
To go with our post on Growing and Preserving your own food, where QueenBee showed us how she picked and froze Serrano peppers, http://beewild.buzz/growing-and-preserving-food/, we thought we’d share a honey recipe showcasing serrano peppers, Serrano Honey Vinaigrette. If serrano peppers are unavailable, you can substitute with jalapeno peppers.
Does Wine Vinegar Have Health Benefits?
QueenBee: One of my fondest memories is watching my best friend’s mother make wine vinegar out of wine that she felt was too old to drink but too expensive to throw away. Since she had advanced degrees in nutrition, was a famous cook (She developed several recipes for Marshall Field’s restaurant.), and was one of the healthiest eaters I know, I always figured that wine vinegar was not only tasty but healthy.
Here’s a supporting post from the Institute for Vibrant Living.
