Wendy’s Detox Tea
I just shared with our readers that my body went into a cleansing reaction on the 21 Day Sugar Detox. My Bestie, Wendy, has supported her cleansing by drinking this wonderful detox tea. I would love to share her recipe with you and suggest you drink 2-3 cups when you first notice cleansing symptoms.
The Health Benefits of Ginger
Ginger has been used as a medicinal plant in Pan Asia for thousands of years, so it’s health benefits are well-documented. I was reading Life Hacks and looked up the benefits of ginger. Life Hacks reports at least 11 health benefits for ginger. So, having a good knob of ginger in this Detox Tea is very beneficial.
Wendy’s Detox Tea
Ingredients
- 1 1/2" piece of fresh organic ginger
- 3-4 cinnamon sticks
- 1 palm full of coriander, cardamom, and cloves
- 1 dash of cayenne pepper
- 1 organic lemon with rind quartered
- 1 organic apple, seeded, cored, and quartered
- 1 quart of pure water (Wendy uses alkylized water.)
- Raw local honey to taste
- A splash of organic vanilla
- 1 tsp raw organic apple cider vinegar
Instructions
- Bring the water up to a boil.
- Add the spices, lemon, and apple to the water and steep the tea, for at least 30 minutes.
- Strain the spices and fruit from the tea.
- Add raw local honey, organic vanilla, and raw organic apple cider vinegar to a cup of the tea.
